About the school
Our daughter attended the International School of Madeira from Prep 2 through Grade 1 before our family moved from Madeira. Up to Grade 1, the curriculum is delivered in English with some lessons in Portuguese, which helped Ayana build strong foundational communication skills in English. From Grade 1 onwards, the curriculum is equally divided between English and Portuguese, which we found to be an interesting option. This bilingual structure allows both non-Portuguese-speaking children and fluent speakers to develop a high level of competence in both languages.

Tuition and fees
Enrolment Fee €350 for first registration, Re-enrolment Fee €80 for returning students, Administration Charge €350. Flexible payment options: annual (1 payment), termly (3 payments), or monthly (12 payments). Discounts available for early payment and sibling enrollment. Optional extras include catering (€112/month) and homework club (€50/month).
